Now enrolling for Summer Camp. We are offering all we offered before with our previous camps but are revamping to add some new ideas. Summer Camp offers some very exciting activities for campers, each week will include a STEAM challenge and an art project focused on a different artist. Camp will also include snack, and option to buy lunch. Weather permitting we will play outside as well. This is an action packed hands on learning and fun camp! Please see below for more detail.
STEAM challenge: Each week we will have a new STEAM project. We will have a different subject each week that we will plan STEAM activities around. For weekly topics look below.
Art Project: Each week we will focus on a different artist. We will talk about the artist, review their work, methods, and techniques. We will create our own art piece using those elements. For weekly topics look below.
Snack: Each day we will offer kids one snack which will include chips and a Caprison or water. If they would like more either send a snack from home or money to buy a second snack. You can also purchase a snack card for those that will be at camp all week.
Lunch: Lunch can be brought with your child or they can purchase a lunch. We order lunch from Donatos and choices are a small pizza or chicken wings for $5+tax a day. You can pay for lunch each day or at the beginning of the week. Gluten free is available for $7.00.
Registration & Fees: Early Bird Registration $100+tax weekly. Daily drop off is $20+tax a day and subject to availability. Registration day of is $125+tax weekly and $25+tax daily. You can register online for weekly but please call to register for individual days. 256-858-1870
Ages: We will accept children ages 3-11 as long as they like art and imagination. Must be self sufficient in the restroom to attend.
Discipline Policy: We expect children to act like children do which means time to time there are disagreements or squabble, in those times we will redirect children to defuse the situation. We have yet to need to go further than redirection but if needed we will have the child(ren) help come up with a way of solving the dilemma. Letting children be a part of the solution helps teach social skills necessary to play in groups. If absolutely none of this works we may have a cooling off session where they sit on the couch or call a parent. We don't expect to have to call any parents though. For more information on how we discipline in camp give us a call we would be happy to talk with you.
Thank you for your interest. We are excited for this camp. We believe children learn from hands on exploration & play, we want to foster that in our facility. You may register through the following link: https://www.theartnasium.com/products/summercamp
