Now enrolling for Spring Break Camp. We are offering all we offered before with our previous camps but are revamping to add some new ideas. Spring Break Camp will give you a taste of our upcoming summer camp. Spring Break Camp offers some very exciting activities for campers, the week will include a STEAM challenge, Readers Theater, Art Project focused on Seurat, exercise, and daily math practice. Camp will also include a snack, and option for lunch. Weather permitting we will play outside as well. Your children will have so much fun they won't realize they are exercising their brains! This is an action packed hands on learning and fun camp! Please see below for more detail.
STEAM challenge: The week will focus on a STEAM challenge. We will introduce it on Monday and each day build upon it until Friday when we will test it out.
Readers Theater: The week will be assigned a readers theater where children will be assigned parts and practice each day. On Friday we will perform our story.
Art Project: The week will focus on one artist, Seurat. We will talk about the artist, review his work, methods, and techniques. We will create our own art piece using elements from this artists methods and techniques.
Exercise: Each day we will incorporate an element of exercise such as, yoga, planking, running. This week we will focus on yoga and learn a new pose each day. (We are only learning yoga poses and practicing child appropriate poses).
Math: Each day we will practice math in a fun way. We want to help kids keep their minds fresh for when they return to school so we will have unique ways to practice.
Snack: Each day we will offer kids one snack which will include chips and a Caprison. If they want more than one snack either send them with a snack from home or money to buy a second snack.
Lunch: Lunch can be brought with your child or they can purchase a lunch. We order lunch from Donatos and choices are a small pizza or chicken wings (no sauce but with ranch dip) for $5 a day. You can pay for lunch each day or at the beginning of the week.
Registration: You do NOT have to register for all five days however some of the activities will span over all five days. Must be self sufficient in the restroom to attend.
